find new music...

and new people

Meet Jack and Meadow

Jack had been scrolling through Congo for hours when he found it "Lavender Skies." The track was haunting, the kind of sound that lingered. He replayed it twice before realizing he needed to know who made it.

Meadow had uploaded it on a whim, expecting it to disappear into the endless stream of underground music. Instead, it found its way to Jack, a producer halfway across the country whose beats would end up blending seamlessly with her voice.
Their collaboration started in file transfers and late-night critiques, their sounds shaping each other until they felt inseparable. When their first track together took off, the inevitable happened—Jack booked a flight, and for the first time, music wasn’t the only thing connecting them.

Roots

Our website, Congo, is names after Congo Square, located in Louis Armstrong Park in New Orleans, and is a historically significant site where It became a cultural hub traditions merged with influences from European and Indigenous cultures. This exchange helped shape the musical landscape of New Orleans, laying the foundation for jazz, blues, and other genres. Congo Square is celebrated as a symbol of cultural fusion, where different communities came together, preserving heritage and giving rise to a unique musical tradition.
So here at Congo, we want to do the same for the people of today similarly to how it happened back starting in the 1800’s, by giving individuals a place connect with one another through music.
